Frog Force's sister team, team 1941 from Frederick Douglass Preparatory School recently competed at the Cass Tech 

District Competition where they earned the first medal of their career.  The team, accompanied by the assistance of team 1250, the Gator-Bots from Dearborn and team 469, Las

Guerillas from Bloomfield Hills skyrocketed their way through the elimination rounds and ended up as finalists.  Up until their finals, they won every match except for one, where they were challenged by their longtime friends, Frog Force.

Once they got to the finals, they were subsequently defeated by the number one alliance consisting of the Thunderchickens, reigning world champions, and the HOT Team, reigning world finalists. The champions' win was not easy though.  Team 1941 held the number one alliance to the lowest number of points in any elimination round with strong driving skills, pinning, and mastery of empty cell transportation.

Team 503 has been working with team 1941 and is ecstatic to see them finally win their first medal, even if it means beating the Frogs.  Team 1941 is no stranger to dominating FIRST.  The team has won the 2006 Detroit Regional Rookie All Star Award, the 2006 National Judge's Award, and the 2008 West Michigan Spirit Award.
