Dominique Felice plays sports year round.... She's a varsity diver, is on the basketball team (which was undefeated for the enitre season - Go Cats!), and was varsity in track for hurdles and pole vault.... Gavin is a junior on the team and is a member of the game specific group. This is his third year on the team. He worked this season on the sweeper and the shooter for the robot. Gavin is also a pilot for the robot, operating the shooter during the competitions. |

Jason is a Senior and is one of the programming group leaders. He was the programming leader in 2009 also and was a member of the drive train group in 2007 and 2008. He also works with the team website and is the administrator of the team forums. He plans to go to the University of Michigan or Purdue University to study aerospace engineering, computer engineering, or computer science. |

FIRST History: When his oldest son got involved with Team 503 in the fall of 2006, he followed his son's lead. Now Jay's addicted. In his third year as a mentor for Team 503, he is still amazed at the level of work and enthusiasm this team achieves in creating and competing with this robot, as well as the assistance provided to other teams which 503 have been lucky enough to nurture and guide. Jay is proud to be a part of such a great team! Personal Bio: Father of three boys, two of which are on Team 503 (third year for Jason, a junior, and first year for Kyle, a freshman). Cindie and Jay also have two daughters who go to school in Ann Arbor, where their family lives. Jay grew up and was educated in Missouri (St. Louis area) and is still a Cardinal's baseball fan :) Professional Bio: BS in Chemical Engineering and MS in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Missouri - Rolla (now called Missouri University of Science and Technology). Moved to Detroit area to work in the steel industry for 15 years until a round of downsizing axed his whole department. Subsequently, went to work for General Motors Powertrain where Jay performs the function of Materials Engineer, working primarily with steel components in transmissions and all-wheel-drive systems. |
